Activator

Is science the answer to all problems?
Resources:
The Fly 1958 version!

Learning Target
Scholars will continue their reading of The Metamorphosis, analyzing the text for details about the characters and historical context, and then make a "baby book" about Gregor.

Work Session
Hope the PSAT testing wasn’t too much. Today we are going to take the Metamorphosis to another level. We are going to compare contrast the movie The Fly to The Metamorphosis. We are going to use the double-bubble. I want to compare/contrast the two characters of Gregor Samsa and Dr. Andre Delambre from the Fly. How are the same how are they different? How do they experience alienation?

Closing Session
Trade your baby book with a friend to read and write a 1-sentence "blurb" for the cover.

Assessment
Higher order analysis through depth of knowledge.

Differentiation

Use of choice and media to enhance learning.
